Scholarships

Dr Shahab Akhavan has a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. His research focused on graphene and related materials for wearable electronics. After finishing his PhD he continued as Research Associate in Cambridge Graphene Centre, University of Cambridge and later he joined University College London as Lecturer. He has more than six years experience teaching and supervising students in University of Cambridge and University College London. He is one of the founders and directors of the Impetus Education team.

Dr Hadi Modarres received his PhD in Engineering from Selwyn College, University of Cambridge. He graduated with a First in Engineering from Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge for his undergraduate degree. Hadi works as a data scientist in healthcare, applying machine learning techniques for early disease prediction. He is one of the co-founders and directors of Impetus Education.

Usman Bhatti received his Masters in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. His Master's project focused on a low order unsteady flow model for turbomachinery. After graduating with a specialisation in Aerospace Engineering, Usman pursued a career in industry. He has over ten years of mentoring and industry experience, including working on European Space Agency projects as well as working as a Senior Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover. He is an MBA candidate at London Business School and a guest tutor at Impetus Education.
